I know that when watching Gardener's World it can be a bit daunting seeing how much kit Monty has. Sometimes, it's just not in our budget to get all the propagators and heaters and what-have-you.

I love to be particularly thrifty and find kit through reusing household objects!

I have recently been using my copious amounts of takeaway containers as propagators, and that has worked a treat! Check out my little lavender and thriving salvia!

My mediterranean lavender and salvia seeds, which I could never get to throw a root, have sprung to life through this simple method!

Last night I was being naughty and undoing all my hard dieting work by having some gorgeous macaroons from M&S. It was only when I went to throw the packaging away that I realised it was the PERFECT little propagator for seeds and seedlings!

It is small, cute and contained, meaning that it can still nicely on my windowsill without looking messy, and it's also black - my favourite colour which extends into my gardening as well as my wardrobe!

Here is how I make use of this food packaging!

The camera I use is a Canon G7x, which is the perfect little HD camera which is light enough to hang about my neck and not get in the way.


I apologise for my not so glam gardening look I'm rocking today, but I just love taking arty farty garden shots, don't you?

I'll admit it's looking a little bit small in it's new home in my shady flowerbed, but it should rise to the challenge and flower again this summer. I can't wait to see the striking blue mopheads again soon!


 There're no plant that cannot be saved when it is at the back of the store, so be the rescuer and I assure you that it will reward you!

At the end of my garden is a shady corner that never gets any attention, aka dead space.

A small apple tree (which I am yet to discover the species of) sits in the very middle of the grass. Although it has been viewed as an obstruction for my 10 years of living here, I have chosen to view it as a feature that draws attention to the area after its beautiful bloom this Spring.

This is the back-most corner of the garden and I am still considering what to fill it with:

• pond
• fountain
• statue
• obelisk

My designs in my sketchbook are leaning towards putting in some boulders, a small pond and grasses and irises, but if any of you have any innovative ideas or just a stroke of genius please do let me know!

How many young people who LOVE gardening can you find on the internet?

I can answer this with great ease: none!

There are countless glamorous bloggers and youtubers who discuss make up, hair, lifestyle, but none that I could go to for gardening tips and advice!

That is where I come in - this online presence is dedicated to all you fellow green-fingers that will not  only document my gardening experiences but will hopefully encourage engagement within the international gardening community!
